When a Caucasian Might Not Be the Best Fit

Caucasians build up at a measured pace and produce more propolis. Some regions or styles may favor other bees.
In far northern climates with very long confinement, Carniolans can sometimes handle moisture and Nosema risk slightly better.
In the deep South where flows run nearly all year, Italians usually take fuller advantage of constant nectar.
Across the Midwest, Caucasians offer the best balance of gentleness, resource efficiency, and long term reliability.

Shipping and Pickup Details

3-frame nucs ship directly to your door using approved live bee transport methods. Tracking is provided when your shipment is prepared.

Local pickup in Carl Junction, Missouri is available by appointment only. Pickup typically occurs in mid May, depending on weather.
